Illuminate Teens meet Sundays at the Youth Building after each Evening Service

The teen group meets every Sunday evening after Church service for fellowship, leadership, games and goodies.

At Hartford Independent Baptist Church, we make it a point to focus on our teenagers. It is our desire to see each and every young person grow strong in their faith, doctrine, and their walk with the Lord. Our ministry philosophy is taken from Matthew chapter 5, in verse 16. The Bible says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

It is our prayer and goal that God will use this ministry to help the teenagers here at our church to stand out from the world.  As Matthew 5:16 teaches, it is our job to stand out, so that the world will see us, and see that we are different than them.   This difference is that we have Jesus Christ living inside of us, and “illuminating” us, so we can bring glory to our Heavenly Father.
